Celebrities

Do you think its easier for celebrities to raise kids?

All things considered (thats why Im asking in the economics section).... do you think its easier or harder for rich celebrities to raise children? On the one hand, they have to worry about the paparazzi and not having enough time for their children. On the other, they dont have to worry about money and the best education and healthy food, like some "regular" parents do. What are your thoughts on this?

  1. yeah! they have alot of money so they can pay some one to do it for them http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080511085733AA1E5Xy&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHzJbpjFus_RFDIy6HqJsPf6Zpxg1PJogytpA--&paid=asked&msgr_status=
  2. Much easier yet they still fail to do a good job Peaches Geldorf for starters.
  3. well, economically speaking, yes, it is easier because children cost a lost of money. Emotionally speaking, I think it's a whole lot harder. I cannot imagine growing up without having my parents there for me at every dance recital, every field hockey game, or every major (and minor) accomplishment in my life. I think celebrities children become closer and more attached to thier nannies than to their parents and that's very sad.
  4. Besides have to cope with living in the spotlight, having too much money is actually a hindrance to raising children. In ordinary families where money is a constraint children are automatically taught to look at trade offs and wait for things they want These are necessary lessons for children to grow up to be responsible adults. Parents want to fulfill their children's desires and if they have the money to do so, it is hard not to do it, and their children grow up expecting instant gratification.
  5. Good question. It's slightly harder, because they have less time to devote to their children--important or merely busy, they can't be home much of the time and they have to practice when they're not working, appearing, giving interviews, being out of town or away etc., etc. The best for such a person is to realize this, play "uncle" or "aunt" and use their money to hire great child raisers, educators, etc.--then spend quality time with their children when they can. Most of the time that works better than trying to pretend there's no problem or divide team, shortchanging everyone. You can't have everything at once. If you do something important importantly well, you have to give it your best. if you have no real reason to be important, give up celebrity and go do something real and honest. including raising your own children. It's as simple as that.
  6. Hmmm, good question. I think the more 'normal' people without all their hassles and money probably do a better job. As you said, celebrities have very disrupted lives, they are always going here or there and some don't have enough time for their kids. I would say a lot of celebrities kids are raised by nannies. Look at Posh and Becks' kids, you hardly ever see them, the parents are more concerned about their social life. I would rather be a more attentive, normal, stable parent without the millions. The majority of us were raised that way, I know I was, and I turned out just fine. The point of having kids is to always be taking care of them, not just when you feel like it which I don't think many celebrities care about or understand. Sure they can provide everything for their kids but a stable parent is really what matters the most.
