Would getting a degree be useless for celebrities that are fashion designers or having their clothing line?

It seems like many celebrities these days are becoming fashion designers or having their own clothing line. Do you think that getting a degree would be useless to them (since they're already famous) or do you think it would further their fashion career even more? So do you guys think getting a degree would be useless for them (because they don't need it) or would it further their sales of fashion and accessories? The Olsen twins and Kimora Lee Simmons are the only ones I can think of that are successful fashion designers without a degree.

1. degrees in fashion are retarded.. if you're going to be a designer, take risks, you don't need to take English and algebra.
2. If I were famous and had lots of money I would get a degree in business. It would teach me how to protect my fortune and all that technical stuff. Definitely useful. edit: most celebrities don't need it but it would be useful.
3. depends if their main income is from designs then they dont need it because obviously they are rich and famous from doing it, but if they are rich and famous from something else, they really dont design it, just have their name on it. so to answer your question it really doesn;t matter, they will be rich and famous still without it.
4. no they would have a safety net to help them if their career falls apart. you know get back on track.especially if they have kids. Britney should have thougth ahead.
5. Most likely they are not really designing the clothes but rather just having their name attacted to labels to make more money. (this is almost always the case!) They might have a few IDEAs that someone translates into a design for them. Real fashion design isn't always fun and glamorous and it takes hard work, a lot of computer and technical design knowledge. The average celebrity would not be able to create actual designs, design specs, projection sheets, etc to be sent to foreign countries for production. A fashion degree would do them good if they really wanted to design the clothes.

8. Um, hello? They don't actually design it themselves. Of course they give ideas and everything, but they have actual designers that really create the clothes.

They tell their ideas to someone who translates them into an image and then they are sent off to other people. They dont know the hard work that goes into any of it. They just know the glamour. 10. In my opinions, study in school for certificate or degree could have advantages for their career in academic. But celebrities are not suitable for stay with the public communities such as go to university study. Moreover, academic success are not essential for celebrities, or any people. It is not all celebrities develop their career in fashion area as I knew. They could be performers, singers, actors, spokesperson, etc... They have their life style and their way for living in the society.
