Do Americans still allow themselves to be fobbed off by celebrities to vote for Obama?

I thought this is only happening in the Third World where actresses and actors, tv personalities and dancers are paraded down the stage to gather people and tell them to vote for their candidates even if the one running has dubious background and track record or lacks relevant experience. OMG. Of course, these celebrities will not come up the stage without - you guessed it right - money! What is he planning to do next, buy votes? Anyway he has all kinds of lobbyists to finance him. Third World politics style.

Not this American. I have researched the candidates and have chosen the one I feel will serve us best. Celebrity backing is great and all (especially for funding) but I am an intelligent woman..I make my own decisions.
you go to their movies, this must mean something to some people? Right? I changed my feelings about some Actors when they back a suck a** that I didn't like. And Now I can't go and see a movie without thinking that person is a hypocrite!
but it's ok for hillary to parade around her husband. judge me by my own merits my ass.
Celebrity endorsements don't impress me. Oprah doesn't impress me either. I'm more turned off to a candidate that needs a billionaire celebrity to endorse them.
who cares about the celebrities??? he's simply the best candidate! hillary bringing her husband everywhere, not watching from the sidelines like the other spouses, but giving speeches, etc.. is just as bad if not worse.. OBAMA '08! (no matter what hollywood says)
Not me. It is getting a little disgusting with Oprah and other non politicians on the news every night stumping for Obama. I would like to see more debates and less of that crapola...... If a person endorses someone, then give a reason and shut the hell up....
I think that Obama makes a good candidate and even "a great prez."..yeh...compared to "you know who"!! Celebrities,especially Oprah is not dumb she know he's a real winner. As for Hilary, I'm sorry but her husband is digusting to me...I mean his past behavior is what's wrong with America now.
